Terms of Service

Last updated: May 19, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using virtuallog.io (the "Site") or the VirtualLog demo application at demo.virtuallog.io (the "Demo App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. VirtualLog is a product of Virtual Sky S.R.L., a company registered in Romania, EU. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

VirtualLog is a log management and analysis platform that deploys in your AWS account. The Site provides information about our product and services. The Demo App provides a live demonstration environment for evaluating VirtualLog features using synthetic sample data.

3. Demo App Usage

The Demo App is subject to the following conditions:

  • The Demo App is provided for evaluation purposes only
  • Demo credentials and data are shared and synthetic — they should not be considered private
  • Do not submit sensitive, personal, or production data to the Demo App
  • We reserve the right to reset demo data at any time without notice
  • Demo availability is provided on a best-effort basis with no uptime guarantees

4. User Accounts

When using VirtualLog with your own account:

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service, servers, or connected networks
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Use the Demo App for production workloads
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the service

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of VirtualLog — including but not limited to design, code, text, graphics, and logos — are owned by Virtual Sky S.R.L. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.

7. Pricing and Payment

Current pricing is detailed on our Pricing page. The Free plan is free forever. The Enterprise plan is free throughout 2026 and will be priced at $30/month starting in 2027. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice to existing users.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications at any time. The Demo App is provided "as is" for evaluation purposes and may experience downtime or data resets without prior notice.

9. Customer Support

We provide email-based support to all customers via support@virtuallog.io.

Free Plan: Support is provided on a best-effort basis. We respond to inquiries as time permits, with no guaranteed response time. We reserve the right to limit or decline support requests at our discretion.

Enterprise Plan: Support is provided on a best-effort basis during European business hours. We aim to respond to inquiries promptly, though no specific response time is guaranteed.

Custom support arrangements with guaranteed response times and dedicated support channels may be available through negotiated contracts (private offers via AWS Marketplace). Contact support@virtuallog.io for inquiries.

All support is delivered exclusively via email. We do not provide phone, chat, or 24/7 support at this time.

10. Data Ownership and Processing

VirtualLog deploys in your AWS account. Your log data remains in your own infrastructure at all times. You retain full ownership and control of your data. We do not access, store, or process your production log data on our servers.

VirtualLog does not act as a data processor under GDPR or any other data protection regulation with respect to the log data you ingest and analyze through the platform. Since all data processing occurs exclusively within your own AWS account and infrastructure, no Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is required between you and VirtualLog for the use of the production service.

For details on how we handle personal data collected through the Site and Demo App, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

11. Customer Infrastructure Responsibilities

VirtualLog is deployed via CloudFormation into your AWS account (the "Customer Environment"). You are solely responsible for the provisioning, configuration, operation, security, monitoring, and cost of all AWS infrastructure resources used by VirtualLog, including but not limited to:

  • OpenSearch Service domain: capacity planning, instance sizing, node scaling, security patches, version upgrades, performance tuning, snapshot backups, index lifecycle management, and hot/warm/cold tier configuration.
  • Amazon S3 buckets: storage class selection (Standard, Infrequent Access, Glacier, Deep Archive), lifecycle policies, versioning, encryption, access logging, and replication.
  • Log retention and deletion policies: defining how long log data is stored, when it is archived, and when it is permanently deleted. VirtualLog provides configuration mechanisms; the policies themselves are your responsibility.
  • Backup, archival, and disaster recovery: snapshot scheduling, restore procedures, cross-region or cross-account redundancy, and Recovery Time / Recovery Point Objectives (RTO/RPO).
  • Other AWS resources: ECS Fargate tasks, VPC, subnets, security groups, IAM roles and policies, KMS keys, Route 53 records, ACM certificates, and any other resources provisioned by VirtualLog CloudFormation stacks or used to support them.
  • AWS service quotas, limits, and capacity reservations.
  • All AWS infrastructure costs, data transfer fees, and other charges invoiced by AWS for your account. VirtualLog subscription fees do not include AWS infrastructure costs.
  • Regulatory and contractual compliance applicable to your data (including but not limited to GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2): data residency, encryption-at-rest, encryption-in-transit, audit logging, and access controls.

VirtualLog provides software (CloudFormation templates, container images, application code, documentation, and software updates) and best-effort support per Section 9. VirtualLog is not responsible for the operation, availability, performance, security configuration, or cost of any AWS resources running in the Customer Environment.

12. Limitation of Liability

VirtualLog is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. In no event shall VirtualLog be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Virtual Sky S.R.L. (operating as VirtualLog), its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms of Service.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of Romania.

15. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the service at any time, with or without cause, for violation of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated via the Site or email where possible.
